Jesus's Birth
Memory verse: Luke 2:11-“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (ESV) Vocabulary: Shepherd: A person that takes care of sheep. Manger: A large open box or trough for animals like horses to eat from. Read: Luke 2:4-15 and Matthew 2:1-2,10-11 Sing: Jesus's birth True or false: 1. Jesus was born in a hospital? 2.There was no room in the inns for Mary and Joseph? 3.The wisemen brought five gifts? 4.Jesus was placed in a manger? Questions:
I gave birth to Jesus who am I? Mary Mary is my wife who am I? Joseph We brought Jesus three gifts who are we? The Wiseman An angel told us to go see Jesus who are we? The shepherds Craft: You will need: toilet paper rolls Straw or yarn Cloth foam paper or cardboard hot glue popsicle sticks A marker/sharpie First cut toilet paper rolls in half horizontally. This will be the base of your manger. Glue two popsicle sticks on each of the sides of the toilet paper roll. Have them cross each other for stability. Glue yarn or hay inside the “manger.” Take foam paper and cut out to be your baby. Draw a face on the foam paper. Wrap cloth around foam cut out, Do not cover up face. Place in manger.
